Supported radios
RadioCloud currently works with 11 radios. Models that share the same protocol are grouped under one frequency setting tool, and each model also shows whether firmware flashing is available.
UV-5R frequency settings
VFO limits · Enter the VHF/UHF transmit lower and upper limits directly, or turn off transmit per band.
UV-5RBaofengVerified on a real radioNo flashing The firmware is on a one-time programmable (OTP) chip and cannot be changed
UV-K5 series frequency settings
F-Lock · Pick one of the F-Lock presets (CE, FCC, GB, etc.) on the UV-K5, K6, K1, 5R Plus and related radios such as the Radtel RT-590 and RT-600, and turn off the extended transmit switches.

UV-5R Mini frequency settings
Model type · Locks the transmit bands by changing the model type (CE, EuropeCEGT, etc.) the same way the manufacturer's FreqRangeTool does.
UV-5R MiniBaofengVerified on a real radioNo flashing No public custom firmware, and the update files are encrypted
Features by tool
The frequency setting tools only enable writing after you save a backup, and never write the calibration area. Firmware flashing has its own menu (Firmware flashing).

Verification levels
- Verified on a real radio — read, write and read-back confirmed on real hardware.
- Firmware analysis — the manufacturer firmware was analyzed and confirmed to store settings the same way as a verified model.
- Listed as compatible in CHIRP — registered in CHIRP as the same family. Not checked by us yet.
- Flashing — a board generation that can take custom firmware through the Firmware flashing menu. Before actually writing, the generation is checked again from the radio's bootloader version, and nothing is written if it does not match.
